In accordance with the law passed by the National Identity Management Commission (NIMC), Nigerians and foreigners working and residing in the country are expected to register and obtain a National Identification Number in order to be registered in the country’s National Database. This is to ensure that everyone in Nigeria can be accounted for.
To this effect, the National Identity Management Commission (NIMC) was established by the NIMC Act No. 23 of 2007 and given the mandate to establish, own, operate, maintain and manage the National Identity Database in Nigeria, register persons covered by the Act, assign a Unique National Identification Number (NIN) amidst others to those who are citizens of Nigeria as well as others legally residing within the country.
It is to this purpose that SLOGANI CONSULTS partners with the National Identity Management Commission (NIMC) to render registration and verification services on behalf of NIMC. Having a central database is to ensure that verification of identities can be recorded, traced and ultimately available for reference and tracking purposes should the need arise.
